Lyft is an American ride-sharing company which helps people get from A to B. In 2019, they wanted to tap into the Australian market and wanted to better understand the Australian mindset towards carpooling. They needed design expertise to provide them with a profile of the average Australian passenger, so that they can deliver a brand new carpool service for the modern millennial. Lyft's ambition is to be the first autonomous carpool service on Australian roads.
The purpose of this  exercise was to provide a well informed design strategy in order understand how to competitively enter the Australian market.
The question:
Would the possible introduction of self-driving cars give Lyft a competitive advantage in the Australian market especially with the presence of already established strong competitors like Uber?
The outcome:
A strategic design report that includes thorough market research, vision setting, design audit, identifying primary customers, lean business models, customer journey maps, service maps and blueprints in addition to suggested design solutions etc.
